Google, Cruises, Finance, And Work

I love it and hate it when I finish my entire days work in less than an hour. I have nothing to do but sit and stare aimlessly at my computer, debating whether or not to ask my boss for something to do. It is usually about that time a stack of busy work ends up on my desk, and promptly gets completed, giving me time to once again stare blankly.

Plugging random words into Google has always been entertaining. Checking the company stock is also on the list of things to do when bored. Well it was down as usual. As I checked for why my stock was always declining I decided to search some financial sites.

There were a few relevant ones also, namely one highlighting a specific forex indicator, but I had to go through a few pages before I found it. I quickly realized that this was far too boring a topic to search, and might turn up some websites that could get me into trouble.

Mission aborted and onto the next one. Shopping is always a fun diversion. A costly diversion but it will keep my mind off the mind numbing boredom. Our annual vacation is coming up and we each need a bathing suit and some vacation outfits. The trip to Mexico was bought on the cheap because we have a friend that is a travel agent.

My husband was looking for a new watch. I checked out the men’s watches but couldn’t find the one that was perfect. I located a tie that would look good with the new dress I picked out. I did locate a shirt for him to wear on the beach. Finding style on a budget is an art. The key is to comparison shop at at least five different stores.

Maybe I would make him cook for me instead… He has not done that for awhile, because our dining room is rather empty right now. We just moved into a larger house, and need more furniture to fill it up, specifically our dining room. We’ve been looking at china cabinets, dining sets, and bars to fill it up, but haven’t found anything that has caught our eye yet.

I was about to give up looking, when a small ad in the bottom of the page caught my eye. The set they featured was perfect; the right size, shape, color… I think I found the perfect set! Then I saw the price tag…. Maybe I could talk my husband into making payments on it for the next five years!
